I nominated F.E.W. Harper for induction into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame last winter. She was inducted on August 25, 2011 at the Ohio Statehouse, together with 8 living women.

In winter 2010 I submitted a nomination for FEW Harper to the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, New York. I was advised in winter 2011 that the nomination was not accepted, but that her name would be on file for considered in 2012 for induction in 2013. I was also advised that additional material could be sent in to strengthen the nomination, which I plan to do.

I would appreciate seconding of this nomination by others.

I am in touch with a descendant of Fenton Harper by his daughter Elizabeth Cooper: Susan Cole

Hello , One of the main issues of class warfare in this and other cities is Environmental Justice issues and causing poverty through gentrification projects. Since 2006, I have been the victim of one of the worst and most blatant examples of this in East Mt Airy. Politicians and their developer friends dug up a contaminated site surrounding my house without proper environmental consideration. They also cracked and bent my house with demolition without permits. There have been a multitude of crimes and civil rights violations. I have been scapegoated and the target of whistleblower retaliation. I did a great deal of investigation to find who and what their crimes have been. I've been displaced from my home and in hospital several times and still very ill. Over time I have found other women to whom very similar things have happened. We have all been the target of crime and accused of being crazy. We aren''t. We have become experts on these injustices and the corruption of the "privileged class" -lawyers, politicians, developers- in Philadelphia. The FBI has started to bust up some of the real estate scams that have plunged this city into despair. I would very much like to give a presentation on this issue from the standpoint of someone who has lived it. You can see my youtubes Toxic Philadelphia and Toxic Philadelphia EPA Hearing. We are continuing to fight this and gradually put together a documentary so the people of Philadelphia can have a voice and not end up ill and all their property taken from them by a devil's bed of politicians, real estate people and lawyers who collude with these crimes and take advantage of people. Thank you Margaret Motheral
