  1. I nominated F.E.W. Harper for induction into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame last winter. She was inducted on August 25, 2011 at the Ohio Statehouse, together with 8 living women.

In winter 2010 I submitted a nomination for FEW Harper to the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, New York. I was advised in winter 2011 that the nomination was not accepted, but that her name would be on file for considered in 2012 for induction in 2013. I was also advised that additional material could be sent in to strengthen the nomination, which I plan to do.

I would appreciate seconding of this nomination by others.

I am in touch with a descendant of Fenton Harper by his daughter Elizabeth Cooper: Susan Cole

  4. While certain aspects of human nature may contribute to the foundation of values, the cultural, familial, and experiential contexts in which individuals grow and develop play a significant role in shaping the intricate tapestry of personal values.
