Lamont B Steptoe, Nzadi Keita, Sean Lynch
M. Nzadi Zimele Keita is a Philly-born writer, editor, scholar and teacher. Her first book of poems, Birthmarks, documents a generation of African-Americans who experienced the Great Migration. She has received grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the Leeway Foundation. Poet Lore Journal recently published Keita’s work. Her poems also appear in several anthologies, including Peace Is A Haiku Song, A Face to Meet the Faces: An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry, and Confirmation: An Anthology of African-American Women. She has consulted with the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, WHYY, and Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program, and teaches creative writing and contemporary American literature at Ursinus College.
Sean Lynch is a poet from New Jersey, born in 1992. His poems, essays, and short stories are available on swlynch.com. He’s been published by APIARY, Poetry Ink, and featured on numerous blogs. Lynch’s first poetry collection is the city of your mind (Whirlwind Press, 2013), which Lamont b. Steptoe, CAConrad, and Frank Sherlock call “beautiful and desolate”, “marvelous”, and “clear-eyed & visionary” respectively. Sean Lynch is also the editor of a collection of poems by Rocky Wilson
Lamont B. Steptoe is an award winning poet born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Steptoe is a Vietnam veteran, photographer, publisher and activist. He has published twelve collections of poetry and edited two collections by the late South African poet, Dennis Brutus. In 2005 he received the American Book award for his collection A Long Movie of Shadows. In 2006, he received a Pew Fellowship in the Arts. Steptoe has read his work in Nicaragua, Den Hagen, Holland, Paris, France, Mumbia, India and Luthuania. His most recent collections are: Crowns and Halos, Oracular Rumblings and Stiltwalking and Meditations in Congo Square.
