Rob Schlegel & Michael Steffen

Rob Schlegel’s The Lesser Fields was selected for the 2009 Colorado Prize for Poetry. His work has appeared in New American Writing, Octopus, Volt, and elsewhere. He teaches writing in Iowa City where is co-editor of The Catenary Press.

Michael Steffen’s first book, No Good at Sea, was published by Legible Press in 2002. His second, Premature Gods, is forthcoming. Michael has had manuscripts shortlisted for the Blue Light Press, Defined Providence Press, and Bright Hills Press Book Awards, as well as the Brittingham and Pollak, Bordighera, and Levine Poetry Prizes. In 2002, he was granted a Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. His poems and critical prose have appeared in a wide variety of journals including Poetry, Potomac Review, The Ledge, Poet Lore, Rhino, Alehouse and many others.   1. Just a quick note. A few years ago, Pecan Grove Press did accept and had in preparation Premature Gods by Michael Steffen. Unfortunately, Mr. Steffen withdrew the book because another press wanted to publish it. While I wish both Michael Steffen and Moonstone Arts Center the best with the November 23rd reading and all future endeavors, the information (posted to your website on October 26, 2010) indicating that Premature Gods is forthcoming from Pecan Grove Press is incorrect.
