DON RIGGS
Stephanie Durann is a writer from Philadelphia, PA who has performed under various reading series (including Robin’s Book Store), festivals, and cabarets in the city. She’s happy to be participating in poetry readings again.
Don Riggs has been writing poetry for decades, and now is compiling a literary history of his personal stylistic periods. Currently, he is in his “Neo-formalist Post- confessional” period, and he writes predominantly sonnets focused on minor events that occur to his immediate consciousness.

I’ve often wondered what became of the Don Riggs I was acquainted with during my first 2 years at Northwood High School in Silver Spring MD, back in the late 60’s-early 70’s. He struck me as a gentle soul and possessing the keenest intellect among the student body.
