Madison Hatta, Sonneteer, delights in writing and reciting original, whimsical sonnets about madness, Time, career & family dysfunction and the importance of drinking tea. Madison has appeared at NYC’s Boundless Tales Poetry Reading Series, Cornelia Street Café & La MaMa Experimental Theatre, and at Philadelphia’s Mt. AiryArt Garage. A “Madisonnet” or two have appeared in the pages of the Knight Letter, the magazine of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America.

April Lynn James, PhD considers Madison to be her spirit guide, guardian angel, muse and/or alter ego. Together, they have crafted well over 200 “Madisonnets”, the first 26 of which are collected in the present volume. “Dr. April” is the recipient of major local, national and international awards for her research and her performing, and just finished a six-year appointment as Speaker in the Humanities for the NY Council for the Humanities. She believes in the healing power of good-hearted laughter.
